Welcome to the Dorothea Lange Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO).

We are glad you found us and we hope that you will join us in extending a warm welcome to all of the new teachers, staff, and families to Dorothea Lange. We look forward to a great year ahead.

Every Lange Parent, Teacher, and Staff Member is a member of our PTO. There are no association dues. The PTO’s three main focuses are fundraising/financially supporting student programs, volunteerism and the facilitation of communication. All three are important jobs in meeting our goals of enhancing the educational experience for our students and ensuring that our children reach their full learning potential. Please partner with our school community to become a part of the school family.

Mission Statement

The PTO functions to enhance the education experience for the students of Dorothea Lange Elementary School (the school) by fostering the partnership between parents, teachers, and administrators.  The objective is to support the school mission through volunteerism, financial contributions and to facilitate communication.  The school provides an educational environment in which students, staff, parents and community work together to ensure that all students learn and meet their full potential.

Our PTO is a non-profit, Parent-Teacher Organization dedicated to supporting Dorothea Lange Elementary.  We hold monthly meetings some in the afternoon and some in the early evenings.

Our meetings are held in the school library.

We welcome you to participate, ask questions, and offer suggestions.
